2008 Scarecrow Contest
In 2008, we will be
having our
first Scarecrow contest.

Information:
- The following prizes will be awarded:
- First place: $100
- Second place: $50
- Third Place: $25
- Scarecrows must be brought to the farm by
Friday, September 26th.
- Cedar Hill Farm customers will vote for
their favorite scarecrow between Saturday, September 27th and
Sunday, October 19th. Winners will be contacted and results will
be published at the farm Saturday, October 25th.
- Scarecrows will be on display outside at
Cedar Hill Farm during the month of October, so make them as
weatherproof as possible.
Rules:
- Scarecrows must be brought to the farm on
a Saturday or Sunday between the hours of 10 AM – 5 PM September
20th through September 26th. We will wire the scarecrow to a
post for display purposes.
- Scarecrow contest entry form must be
filled out and brought with your scarecrow.
- Individuals and groups are welcome to
enter. Entry form may be downloaded from here.
- Scarecrow and props must fit into a 6 ft
x 6 ft area. Scarecrows must be at least 4 ft tall and not more
than 8 ft tall.
- Entries must be homemade. Rubber,
plastic, or store bought masks are not allowed.
- Participants may name their entry using a
sign no larger than 1ft x 3ft.
- All entries must be appropriate to be
viewed by all ages. Cedar Hill Farm reserves the right to
disqualify any entries for any reason.
- Scarecrows may be picked up by their
owners on Sunday, November 2nd. Any scarecrows not picked up on
that day will be discarded.
- No purchase necessary to enter.
